1. Three months preparation time

  • A little backpack had to be thrown of in Heidelberg
  • Since Luzern ( Switzerland) no more winter clothes, several layers of summer clothes make me unmovable
  • Jugendherberge in Genua geschlossen, bei der Suche nach anderer Bleibe eingekeilt zwischen Bauzaun und Kirchenwand
  • Youth hostel in Genua closed. During the search of an other accomodation i got stuck between a church and a construction fence
  • Ferry boat: only 7 cars and one motorbike, no tourist on bord

2. Libya:

  • Suddenly rear break went off, flat tire in three seconds
  • Three weeks with a Tuareg in the Lybian desert
  • My guide does not speak any of my languages
  • We cooked together over the open fire and ate together from one plate
  • Sand storm, 14 hours under the blanket
  • My guide is gone, a few months ago people were kidnapped in this area

3. Egypt:

4. Sudan:

  • People very poor, but friendly
  • Short cut through the desert, a sand storm appears, we can not see our hand infront of our own eyes, not enough water on bord

5. North Ethoipia:

  • Cultural shock, from the Muslim world to the Christian world
  • 200 people surround my bike
  • Once in the while the police hit the people away with a stick
  • Three months eating with the hands ( Injera)
  • See a 600 year old bible. Protection against the sun with an umbrella
  • Crash from seven meter high on a rock formation
  • Accident someone runs in my motorbike

6. Ethiopia:

  • Excursion with three Israelis to the hotest desert in the world
